For our Reynolds project, a wonderful young family invited us to reimagine their 1941 home in a way that honored its original charm while making it more functional and resilient for everyday family life. Rather than compete with the home’s history, we embraced the rich wood tones, architectural details, and antique furnishings that already brought warmth and a sense of story to each room.
We layered these traditional elements with fresh patterns, expressive wallpapers, updated lighting, and thoughtfully selected accent furniture. In the wood-paneled living space, soft upholstery and botanical textiles create a light, comfortable counterpoint to the room’s warmth.
The dining room celebrates the family’s collected pieces through saturated green millwork, patterned walls, and a lively mix of old and new. Even the smallest spaces were given a distinct point of view, including a jewel-box powder room enveloped in shades of blue.
Durable materials and family-friendly design choices ensure that every room is as practical as it is beautiful. The result is a collection of sophisticated yet highly livable spaces—rooted in the character of the past, refreshed for the present, and designed to evolve with this young family for years to come.
