Our Knollwood project began with one space and evolved into a thoughtful, multiphase transformation of their charming Buena Vista home. With each phase, our goal was to add functionality and character while creating a natural sense of connection between the spaces.
The project began in a sunlit den that lacked the layout and identity the family needed. We reimagined it as a comfortable, hardworking space for gathering, relaxing, and hosting friends. In partnership with a local craftsman, we designed custom built-ins and a tailored dry bar, bringing both practical storage and architectural interest to the room. A palette of soft blues and greens, layered textiles, collected artwork, and warm metallic accents gives the den a fresh yet inviting personality.
In the second phase, we transformed the crisp white kitchen with botanical wallpaper, updated lighting, and a designated eat-in dining area designed to comfortably accommodate the family. The kitchen’s newfound charm and whimsy became the catalyst for the foyer and front living room, where a thoughtful mix of color, pattern, artwork, and finishes carries the home’s story forward. The result is a layered, welcoming home that feels cohesive from room to room—polished, personal, and perfectly suited to everyday life.
